Seeking Love

Love made me curious from a young age Because despite romantic notions abound There weren’t credible examples around A high-demand low-supply product market Proliferated with dreams for the gullible
Less a world full of magic, more self-deception

Looking for love was like looking for pearls Among seashells in overfished waters Turned into a war zone by the excessively vain There was once a time when love almost won Against the grandiosity of lies for illusory gain
