About

I'm Shan Rizvi, a context architect building AI systems that model human cognition through knowledge graphs, semantic memory, and psychological profiling. My work gives language models the ability to remember, reason, and respond with relationship awareness.

Recent projects span commercial AI and open-source infrastructure: MindGraph, a cloud platform that fuses databases and documents into one typed knowledge graph AI agents can query, explore, and write back to; MnesticDB, a maintained fork of CozoDB — an embedded relational-graph-vector database in Rust that serves as the memory layer for agentic systems; Thumos Care, a preventive health platform that decodes bloodwork and health data with physician oversight; a 32-billion parameter scientific reasoning engine trained on landmark papers through graph-powered reinforcement learning; and MatSyn, an agentic knowledge graph for compound synthesis that won second prize at AGI House's AI4Science Hackathon.

I am driven by the conviction that harmonization of consciousness has been humanity's highest ambition across diverse cultures for thousands of years.

My eclectic pursuit of knowledge allows me to see bridges between neuroscience, mystical traditions, AI systems engineering, and geopolitical strategy. These aren't separate domains—they're different symbolic systems concerning the same underlying reality. What mystics intuited about consciousness, neuroscience now measures, and AI can operationalize.

Current Focus

  • Growing MindGraph, a cloud platform that fuses an operational database and its surrounding documents into one typed knowledge graph. Hybrid retrieval runs over a seven-layer memory architecture with every fact traced to its source, and autonomous research agents read, reason, and write back.
  • Maintaining MnesticDB, an embedded relational-graph-vector database in Rust that fuses vector, full-text, and graph retrieval in a single Datalog query — the memory layer for AI agents.
  • Exploring the theoretical connections between semantic memory, consciousness research, and the architecture of self-improving agentic systems.

Previous Ventures

Just Ads (2018–2022). Co-founded an advertising automation platform that empowered brands like Alexander Wang to orchestrate multi-platform campaigns with intuitive AI tooling.

Pencil News (2016–2017). Led one of the first AI-powered Urdu news apps, delivering custom NLP pipelines—tokenization, transliteration, sentiment analysis—to serve 300K+ readers.

INTERSECTIONS

About

Intersections is Shan Rizvi's notebook on building the memory layer for AI: knowledge graphs and agent memory that let people and machines reason from shared, sourced facts. The essays range wider too, across heads-of-state diplomacy and the mystical traditions that still inform how we govern.

Each piece is an attempt to weave neuroscience, theology, and emerging AI into strategies that make reconciliation and human-centric intelligence feel actionable.
